Free Online Stem Splitter: Split Any Song in Your Browser

Upload a song and get every part back on its own fader: vocals, drums, bass and the rest. Hear each stem in StemConsole’s live mixer before you download it. Free, no watermark, nothing to install.

Short answer: StemConsole is a free online stem splitter. Upload a song in any browser and choose 2 stems (vocals and instrumental) or 4 stems (vocals, drums, bass, other). Every stem opens in a live mixer where you can solo, mute and blend it. Free covers 5 splits a month with no watermark. Your first split needs no account, and a free account lets you download the stems as MP3. Guitar and piano on their own stems take Full Separation, on Pro or a US$1.99 credit for one song.

What you can do after the split

Pro adds the practice room on the separated stems: speed from 50% to 150% without changing pitch, key change up or down 12 semitones, named loops and count-in. To slow down or change the key of a whole song, the speed and key player is free.

Stem splitter questions

Is this stem splitter really free?

Yes. Vocal Remover (2 stems) and Basic Split (4 stems: vocals, drums, bass, other) are free, with 5 splits a month, the live mixer, a basic loop and MP3 downloads, and no watermark. Full Separation, which puts guitar and piano on their own stems, is on Pro (US$6.99 a month) or a US$1.99 credit for one song.

Do I need an account?

Not to try it: your first split needs no account, and you can play and mix the stems straight away. To download them, and for more splits, create a free account (no credit card). It gives you 5 splits a month and keeps your songs in My songs.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes. StemConsole runs in the browser on a phone, tablet or computer, with nothing to install. The separation runs on GPU servers, so a phone does no heavy lifting.

How many stems can it split a song into?

Two (vocals and instrumental), four (vocals, drums, bass, other) or six (vocals, drums, bass, guitar, piano, other). Two and four are free; six is on Pro or a US$1.99 credit.

Which files can I upload?

MP3, WAV, FLAC, OGG, M4A, AAC or WMA, up to 200 MB. Better source files separate more cleanly: a WAV or a 320 kbps MP3 beats a low-bitrate rip.

Is my song uploaded?

Yes, when you press Split song: the file goes to StemConsole’s GPU servers for separation, and the stems come back to your browser. Cloud audio is kept for 90 days, so download the stems you want to keep.

Can I use the stems commercially?

Separating a song does not grant any rights to the recording or the composition. Practice, study and teaching are how most people use stems; publishing anything built on someone else’s recording needs the rights holder’s permission.
